As of 7 November 2024, there are 92 licensed HMOs in the borough, with an additional 64 HMOs subject to mandatory HMO provisions but not yet licensed. The mandatory criteria expanded on 1 October 2018 to remove the previous 3-storey requirement. Minimum bedroom size conditions apply: 6.51 sqm for one person aged 10+, 10.22 sqm for two people aged 10+, 4.64 sqm for a child under 10. Licences last a maximum of 5 years. Target processing time is 12 weeks. 18 licences issued in 2023/24; 39 licences issued since April 2024.
